My First Baby Shower

For those few of you that actually keep up with this blogging stuff, I have to apologize for being so neglectful lately. I actually have TONS to update everyone on, but I'm going to backup to May 29th - the day of my very first baby shower at my office, Brentwood Communications, up in Nashville. It was AMAZING. Not only was it so fun to see and catch up with everyone (I work from my apartment in Birmingham, so I don't get to see all of these lovely faces on a daily basis anymore), I have never felt so loved and showered (literally!). In particular, Sydney and Pat worked unbelievably hard cooking, decorating, and planning my Fiesta themed shower. And everything turned out perfectly!

My favorite part, though, was getting essentially a full library for "Burrito". Everyone in the office brought me their favorite book from their childhood or from their own kids' childhoods. It was so fun to hear their explanations about why it's their favorite, and I can't wait to read them all to "Burrito". AND, Sydney had a cake decorated by her aunt (I think?) that looks like the cover of one of the books I got...wait til you see this!!!

The whole BCI gang - I love these people!

My sweet boss, Bryan. He's more than just a boss to me - he's like another dad.

YUM! Mexcian!!

Pat is a FABULOUS cook!

Isn't that awesome?! I love it!!
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to my amazing co-workers and bosses for loving me so well. I can't wait for Burrito to meet each of you!

  2. Only an elementary school teacher and "abuela" can truly appreciate the books. What an awesome idea! And the food and decorations look fantastic. You must have had a ball with your terrific co-workers!
